Disciplines taught : - Musical training - Piano - Harp - Classical guitar - Violin - Viola - Cello - Double bass - Percussion - Flute - Oboe - French horn - Clarinet - Trumpet - Trombone - Saxophone - Vocal - Choir - String orchestra - Symphony orchestra - Concert band - Jazz workshops - Classical dance - Contemporary dance - Drama Course of study - Cycle 1 and 2 (3 to 5 years) An examination at the end of the cycle assesses progress. - Cycle 3 (2 to 3 years) Prepares students for the DFE (Diplôme de Fin d'études Musicales chorégraphiques ou théâtrales) after obtaining 3 credits. Activities on offer - For children with no previous musical experience - Eveil musical (for children in Cours Préparatoire class) Please note: if the number of applications is too great, children will be admitted according to their age (date of birth closest to 6 1/2 years on 15/09/2010). After a year of musical awakening, children can choose an instrument to start the following year, in addition to musical training and choral singing. - First-year musical training - Cycle 1,1 (ages 7 and up) Please note: if the number of applications is too great, children will be admitted according to their age (date of birth closest to 7 1/2 on 15/09/2010). Children will also be able to take up an instrument during the year, provided places are available in the chosen discipline. - For children and new registrants with prior musical experience They will be integrated into the chosen discipline on a space-available basis, after an audition to determine their level. - For children wishing to practice classical or contemporary dance or drama Children will be integrated into the chosen discipline according to places available and after an entrance test before a jury to determine their level.
