  • A walk that takes you to the real cave from Pagnol's Manon des sources.

  • -Depart from Parking de la Font de Mai, route d'Eoures d44 (signpost GB50). Follow signs for Font de Mai. Yellow signs.
    -Domaine de la Font de Mai (Post GB 43). Follow signs for Font de Mai.
    Go up towards the bastide, past the donkeys towards the wheat threshing floor. Yellow markings.
    -Wheat threshing area (post GB 49). Follow signs for Puits de Raimu
    Go downhill under the threshing floor, then pass to the right of the cultivated field.
    Follow blue markings.

    -Depart from Parking de la Font de Mai, route d'Eoures d44 (signpost GB50). Follow signs for Font de Mai. Yellow signs.
    -Domaine de la Font de Mai (Post GB 43). Follow signs for Font de Mai.

    Go downhill under the threshing floor, then pass to the right of the cultivated field.

    Go up the path along the asphalt road to arrive opposite La Ferme restaurant. Blue markings
    -(Post GB 22) . Follow signs for puits de Raimu.
    Keep to the side of the road as long as possible to avoid traffic. At the intersection of the road and the restaurant parking lot, follow "puits de Raimu". Blue markings.
    -Puits de Raimu. Follow mas de Massacan.
    Careful asphalt road section for 600 m. Go past the mas de Massacan to the DFCI barrier and turn left to go up to the Col d'Aubignane. Blue markings.
    -(Post GB 23) Follow signs for Col d'Aubignane.

    -Col d'Aubignane ( Post GB 24) Follow signs for Grotte du plantier.
    Follow the yellow markings and after 250 m turn right to reach the famous Grotte de Manon 1 km further on.
    -(Post GB 25). Follow Grotte de Manon.
    Follow the blue markings to reach the Grotte de Manon des Sources. Pass over it and follow the blue markings on a more technical passage (use of hands) to reach the plateau.
    -Plateau (Poteau GB 26) Follow signs for Font de Mai.
    Descend towards Col d'Aubignane, following the blue markings to the electric pillar.
    - (Post GB 45) Follow signs for Font de Mai.
    Follow the ridge for 800 m, then when you find the wide track, turn left to the well. Yellow markings.
    -Puits (post GB 48) follow signs for Font de Mai.
    -Wheat threshing area (post GB49) Return to the Font de Mai estate.
