Located in the valley of Huveaune between Aubagne and Auriol, Roquevaire is characterized by its relief. Surrounded by the Sainte-Baume and the Garlaban Mountains, Roquevaire regroups the village of Roquevaire and the Pont de l'Etoile, Pont de Joux and Lascours hamlets.
You can admire there a typical landscape made of “restanques” on the slopes, shaped by the orchards (in Lascours particularly).

Roquevaire has two strong patrimonial elements: the most ancient Merovingian chapel of Provence and one of the most important organs of the world.
The ‘Pierre Cochereau's organs': Pierre Cochereau, an organist, was in charge of the Great Organs of Notre-Dame, in Paris, from 1955 to 1984. He used to own an organ of 70 games on 5 keyboards. A part of this organ composes the 5.000 pipesgames of Roquevaire church.
This organ is known as one of the best instruments of the world.
The ‘Saint Vincent chapel': the most ancient Merovingian chapel of Provence (excavations in process).
But also...The oratories, the ‘Bonaparte Bridge', dating from the 16th century, the castle ruins, the steeple dating from the Middle Age.
