A street art trail to celebrate Pagnol’s legacy

Aubagne is celebrating the 130th birthday of Marcel Pagnol in 2025, with a rich programme of events designed to pass on his legacy. As part of this, an urban public art trail has been created, combining culture, heritage and street art.

The aim is to enhance the public space and bring contemporary art into dialogue with the identity of Provence.

Five permanent works form a “Marcel Pagnol” artistic itinerary, linking Place Pasteur,Avenue des Goums, Place Lucien Grimaud,Espace des Libertés and the wall of the Antide Boyer school.

The project was born of the creativity of 75 artists, who submitted 155 works, before the jury selected five for their originality and link with the world of Pagnol.
