The Roquevaire International Organ Festival

Created to showcase one of France’s greatest organs, the Roquevaire International Organ Festival has, over the years, become an unmissable event marking the start of the cultural season in Provence.

Every autumn, for nearly a month, it offers an eclectic programme combining major organ recitals, concerts featuring the organ alongside other instruments, musical tributes and original compositions. This diversity allows audiences to discover the full sonic richness of the instrument, whilst opening the festival up to a wide audience.

For the 2026 edition, seven concerts are scheduled to take place in Roquevaire, Aubagne and Auriol, featuring French and international artists, including Jan Liebermann, Olivier Vernet, Jean-Baptiste Robin, Valentine Michaud and Frédéric Lamantia.

The concerts for the 2026 edition

From a tribute to Jean Ferrat to unique collaborations between the organ and the bagpipes, saxophone, trumpets and even the Provençal galoubet, the 2026 programme promises a wide variety of musical styles.

The Great Organ of Roquevaire

A true treasure of Provençal musical heritage, the Grand Orgue de Roquevaire is as impressive for its size as it is for its sound quality. Housed inthe Church of Saint-Vincent, it is now recognised as one of the most remarkable instruments in Europe.

Thanks to its two independent consoles and the breadth of its tonal range, it is capable of performing everything from the great classical repertoire to contemporary works and pieces specially commissioned for the festival. Each concert thus offers a unique opportunity to discover all the nuances and power of this exceptional instrument within the church’s remarkable acoustics.
