In spring, Aubagne and the surrounding area are alive with friendly events celebrating nature, culture and the Provençal art of living.

Events not to be missed in spring

Spring kicks off with the Impulsion Festival, now in its 10th year. From 10 to 19 April 2026, it invites you to plunge into a rich and surprising artistic universe. Shows, performances and contemporary creations punctuate this event, which puts the spotlight on emerging talent.

On Saturday 11 April 2026, Aubagne’s streets will be decked out in colour and fragrance for the “Jour de Printemps” flower market. Plants, flowers and entertainment celebrate the return of fine weather in a warm, spring-like atmosphere.

Spring would be nothing without the not-to-be-missed event for cycling fans, The Cycling Event, from 17 to 19 April 2026. With a variety of mountain bike, gravel and road bike races, town events and special guests, it’s the perfect opportunity to discover the region in a different way, combining natural landscapes with a sporting and festive atmosphere.

Last but not least, the 2025 Vintages Evening on Friday 24 April 2026 promises to be a great way to share the region’s wines. Held at the Château de la Roque Forcade, it’s a great opportunity to discover local flavours in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

New things to discover

This season, we’re adding new experiences to our range of tours.

Discover the exclusive guided tour of Bastide Neuve.From the village of La Treille, relive the arrival of the Pagnol family at their holiday resort. A real immersion in Marcel Pagnol’s world, the walk takes you inside this bastide, full of memories. The day continues with a picnic under the olive trees before a guided return and a final stop at Marcel Pagnol’s birthplace, for a complete experience combining heritage and nature.

Another new feature is the “Marcel Pagnol: between nature and memory” walk, a gentle discovery of the Garlaban landscapes and garrigue, starting from the Font de Mai estate. It’s a sensitive and accessible way to immerse yourself in the places that inspired the writer, while learning more about the local plants.

Guided tours not to be missed

After a first date on 8 March to mark International Women’s Rights Day, the “Aubagne au féminin” tour is back on Wednesday 15 April 2026. Discover the town from an original angle, through the women who have shaped its history and identity.

The “Thérèse Neveu, notre belle santonnière” (Thérèse Neveu, our beautiful santon-maker) tour at Marcel Pagnol’s Petit Monde will showcase a skill that is emblematic of Provence. A fascinating immersion into the world of santons and local crafts.

The guided tour from Aubagne to La Treille will take you in the footsteps of Marcel Pagnol on Tuesdays 14 and 21 April 2026. Between the heart of the town and the inspiring hills, discover anecdotes and a typically Provençal setting.

Let yourself be carried away by the “Aubagne through Marcel’s eyes” tour . Take a picturesque and poetic tour and immerse yourself in theauthor’s soul, while discovering the town in a whole new way. The experience is enhanced by a visit to the two museums dedicated to Marcel, for a complete and inspiring immersion experience. Every Thursday from 9 April to 30 April and Thursday 14 May 2026

Activities for all the family

During the Easter holidays, Aubagne becomes a veritable playground for children, with fun, creative activities for all ages.

For the older ones, experience a new-generation sword fight, combining technology and adrenalin. Whether in a duel or as part of a team, l’Antre 2 Lames lets you don your connected armour and test your speed and strategy in the arena. The game of connected medieval jousting is a fun activity, accessible to all, for guaranteed thrills.

Learn the basics of clay throwing with Véronique, who will show you how to manipulate clay and try your hand at creating your own bowl or goblet. You can also try your hand at clay modelling using the pinched clay technique: shape, decorate and leave with your creation, reviving an age-old tradition and sharing a creative moment with the whole family. For children aged 7 and over.

Workshops and activities for children

Children will be able to give free rein to their imagination with thestop motion workshop on Wednesday 15 April: an original activity that allows them to discover what goes on behind the scenes of animated cinema by creating their own little animated stories.

On Wednesday 22 April, the family will be treated to musical tales, a suspended moment combining storytelling and music, ideal for sharing a moment of complicity between young and old.

On Friday 24 April, with “Les sens: l’aventure des petits curieux“, children explore the world around them through fun and interactive sensory experiences, perfect for awakening their curiosity.

Throughout the year, at the Domaine de la Font de Mai, the “Lili au pied de Garlaban” treasure hunt plunges young and old alike into the world of Marcel and Lili des Bellons. It’s a fun, immersive experience in the heart of nature, for the whole family to enjoy on their own!

Nature experiences with children

If you want to enjoy the great outdoors and have fun at the same time, head for nature!

Walking with the donkeys at Font de Mai is an ideal activity for families. Children love walking alongside or astride these endearing companions, while discovering the estate’s landscapes at their own pace.

Just a few kilometres away, the Auriol animal farm offers a chance to immerse yourself in the world of animals. With its mix of encounters, discoveries and shared experiences, it’s the perfect way to teach youngsters about nature while spending some quality time in the great outdoors.

Spring also marks the return of family outings with the reopening of several leisure parks. Le Bois des Lutins in Peypin invites children to climb, jump and explore a magical world in the middle of the forest, while OK Corral in Cuges-les-Pins promises a day full of thrills with its Wild West-themed attractions and shows. A perfect addition to your holiday programme!

Themed walks

The walks on offer around Aubagne give you the chance to discover the area in a different way, combining nature and culture.

The “Petit Marcel cinéaste en herbe” walk (7km) invites you to explore the countryside while learning about the world of cinema and Marcel Pagnol.

With the “Souvenirs de l’enfance” day hike, follow in the footsteps of the writer for 9km through the hills that shaped his history.
Saturdays 11 and 25 April 2026

Garlaban fait son cinéma” (Garlaban at the movies) takes you on a 12km day-long hike through some of the region’s most iconic film sets, with their cinematic heritage and exceptional panoramas.
Sunday 19 April 2026

Finally, set off on a sporting day hike in the heart of the “Massif de l’Étoile – Le Bau Trauqa” and marvel at the exceptional panoramic views over Marseille and the surrounding countryside. With ridges, aerial passages and wild paths, this adventure is sure to thrill walkers. It’s an immersive and rejuvenating way to discover nature in a different way.

Original nature activities

For something different, there are other ways to discover nature.

On Saturday 11 April, the wild plant discovery walk is an opportunity to learn how to recognise local species and their uses, during an enriching guided outing.

On Monday 13 April, two new themed walks,“Loup qui es-tu?” and“A la tombée de la nuit“, are introduced. Departing from Auriol, you’ll enjoy an immersive and rewarding experience, following in the footsteps of wolves or the sounds of the night…

And for the more adventurous, a paragliding flight over Garlaban offers an unforgettable experience, with a spectacular view over the landscapes of the Pays d’Aubagne. Try it every weekend!
