Goat's cheese from Le Rove

Cheeses with character!

La Cabro d'Or

The herd consists of 80 goats, which roam the hills every day. La Cabro d’or produces farmhouse goat’s cheeses and brousse du Rove.

All year round, during their daily outings (5 to 6 hours), the goats feed in the hills on the southern slopes of the Sainte-Baume. It’s the diversity of the flora they ingest, and the hardiness of the animals that give this cheese its inimitable taste, a reflection of the terroir of our Provence.

The farm’s aim is to produce a unique product in compliance with current standards, combining tradition and modernity. The farm welcomes groups of children and adults for educational, instructive or simply recreational visits.

Self-guided tours are available every morning at the farm.
Products sold at markets and at the farm.

The Beaume goats

A small goat farm on the hills above Roquevaire,“les chèvres de la Beaume” is run by Sébastien and Elodie GRAND. The goats are of the Alpine, Provençal and Le Rove breeds.

They graze on the foot of the Garlaban and in pens or tunnels the rest of the time. Milking is done on site, as is the cheese-making process, using the goats’ raw milk (an average of 40 milking goats).
