Sustainable tourism
To preserve this exceptional agricultural environment, Laurence and Frédéric Maurizot aim to set an example in the field of sustainable ecology. They have earned three recognized certifications: HVE III in 2019, and BIO & 4/1000 in 2020.
Several initiatives highlight their commitment:
Reducing our environmental impact; innovating to benefit the local community; raising awareness among our customers and suppliers; and training our employees.
Separate waste collection for all waste categories, both internally and among customers.
Launching initiatives aimed at reducing food waste.
Reducing the use of disposable packaging in our supply chain by offering reusable tableware, cotton tablecloths, and napkins. Converting organic waste from the restaurant into compost and reusing it on the estate’s crops. Posting signs to guide our customers in sorting waste in accordance with regulations.
Installing flow-restriction devices on faucets and showers.
Installation of water-efficient toilets.
We regularly monitor our energy consumption.
Treatment of our pool water using a closed-loop system.
Implementation of a lighting control system (timers, motion sensors, etc.).
All windows in the facility are double-glazed and filled with argon. Constant monitoring of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. All our lighting uses LEDs, which provide energy savings without compromising comfort for our guests.
Maintenance of green spaces without pesticides, using
ecological methods. Annual planting of 1 hectare of flowers for pollinators. Development of spaces to promote and preserve local biodiversity (pond, nature trail, etc.). Support for local projects that promote biodiversity.
Development of an eco-friendly procurement strategy. Informing suppliers about our eco-friendly approach. Promoting supplier compliance with our environmental criteria. Encouraging the purchase of eco-labeled products.
Encouraging our employees to be environmentally conscious. Integrating environmental conservation into all areas of our business. Raising our customers’ awareness and offering them sustainable solutions. Our teams receive training on eco-friendly practices to follow in their daily activities. We provide our customers with informational booklets, brochures, and posters about the various animal and plant species found in the surrounding area.
In our shop, you’ll find a variety of products sourced directly from our farm. We prepare meat-free meals using seasonal and local ingredients, and we accommodate specific dietary needs. Our restaurant features a variety of organic items on its menu. The cleaning products used in the guest rooms and dining areas are all eco-certified, ensuring better air quality and reducing health risks.
