Safran des Mellets is a 100% natural product (certified organic by Eco-Cert). Saffron bulb production

No products are added to the cultivation of this totally natural saffron. Produced in Aubagne on a property that has belonged to the same family for decades. Saffron is hand-harvested and prepared by passionate men and women. Marketing: on the saffron farm during the harvest period, at craft fairs and in the producers' square, once a month.

Sustainable tourism
In the heart of Aubagne, Sud & Safran embodies local, sustainable agriculture. Saffron cultivation requires no irrigation, relying solely on the natural qualities of a Provencal soil that has been preserved for decades.
Herbicide- and pesticide-free, weeding is carried out exclusively by hand or mechanically. A sober approach that protects the region's biodiversity and water resources.
When you visit the saffron farm, you'll discover an ultra-short circuit: saffron is produced, harvested and sold on site, cutting out all intermediaries and reducing the carbon footprint to a minimum.
When you come here, you're supporting a vibrant local economy, a family tradition of craftsmanship, and an agriculture that takes care of Provence.
